November 7th, 2021, I woke up wondering why I still haven't gotten my period. Just like some other pregnancy stories, I was suspicious but didn't want to keep my hopes up in case it was a false alarm. My husband Marco and I had been trying for three months, so I used one of the pregnancy tests that he had previous bought.
The first test I did, the result came back positive, I was more than thrilled. But again, I didn't want to keep my hopes up in case if it was a false reading, so I did another test (there were a lot of tests in that huge box of pregnancy tests), which came back positive again. So to seal the deal, I did another pregnancy test from a different brand, which to no one's surprise, came back positive again. By now you must be thinking, how many pregnancy tests do you need girl? To make this believable for you? The answer is three.
I then woke Marco up, who was sound a sleep at the time, and told him the news. Before he reacted, he said, are you sure? I said, yup! I did three tests and they all came back positive! He was also very excited.
*Of course I need to include a picture of my pee sticks :P
The first person I texted was my sister, who's a doctor and also my best friend. Her reaction was, you did three tests? Wow, don't do any more tests, you ARE pregnant! I thought to myself, I mean, three tests out of a box of 20 tests isn't that many (yes, it was a very huge box of tests that included 100 ovulation tests and 20 pregnancy tests. You must be thinking, holly, that must cost a fortune! But nope, the price was actually very reasonable!).
I'm so excited to become a Mom and this will be my first child! Stay tuned for more fun stories about my baby.
